Oxford Duplication are an award winning digitisation company, specialising in the corporate, consumer and archival conversion of 35mm photographic film types.  Our services use professional slide scanning equipment, which focuses on high quality digital outputs of each slide.   Scanning at high resolution ensures your film will not lose any detail. 

 Our specialist machines incorporate anti-static  air cleaning stage,  removing loose  dust and debris. Each slide is then individually focused and exposed for the scan. The scanned images are then quality assured with adjustments for age-related colour casts and exposure.

History: Color 35mm transparencies are an example of positive photography: the range of colors presented in the medium is limited by the tonal range of the original image (dark and light areas correspond). It is opposed to a negative where colors and luminance are reversed: this is due to the chemical or electrical processes involved in recording the scene.

All slides, negatives and strips are professionally cleaned and digitised to the correct resolution, before entering our post production suite where images are toned and sharpened. We offer options of resolution to suit our clients, all adhering to The National Archive Standards.  If you require a variation of DPI (PPI), please do advise when placing your order.

HQJPEG-10 4800dpi Family use for viewing on mobile devices, computers and TVs. Included with iSRD, tone, sharpening and colour mangement.  
Publication TIFF 3200dpi Publication use for HQTIFF but manageable file size. Combines iSRD (infrared dust and scrach removal), sharpening, histogram colour balance.    
Archival TIFF/RAW 4800dpi National Archives Standard uncompressed archival digital files.
