Archive-quality transfers, built around your collection
We match the playback and capture approach to the tape format, recording standard, condition and intended use. For preservation projects, we offer lossless FFV1 and 10-bit uncompressed files, alongside ProRes production masters and H.264/MPEG-4 access copies.

Choose FFV1 lossless or 10-bit uncompressed preservation files, with suitable containers and access copies selected for your archive and technical requirements.
Technical review & delivery
We use professional video capture and monitoring workflows and agree delivery, file naming and output requirements to suit your collection and downstream systems.
Standards note: We can prepare preservation outputs informed by recognised audiovisual preservation guidance, including IASA Technical Committee guidance for video. Specific deliverables and compliance requirements should be agreed for each project; we do not imply formal endorsement or certification by The National Archives.
