Who needs book scanning?
Oxford Duplication Centre have been digitising bound books since 2007. Using the highest quality digital technology and software, our services are used around the UK by corporate, heritage and consumer clients.
Archivists
With age related issues particularly associated with paper types, archivists use our services for historic book scanning, helping them to preserve valuable text and imagery on rare, valuable and hard to source books. This allows public to have a digital copy to read whilst the original can be carefully stored away. Archivists prefer TIFF and PDF/A outputs to National Archive Standards.
Historians
With personal and historical history fast becoming an important aspect of our lives, historians regularly bring paperwork for digitisation, thus making the accessibility of the content so much easier to share online.
