Preserve Magazine Collections for Long-Term Access
We digitise magazine collections using specialist scanning equipment and careful handling. Depending on the project, we can create archival TIFF masters together with JPEG, PDF and searchable OCR files for everyday access, publication and online use.
Collections can be scanned as individual pages or page spreads, with projects supported from small collections through to substantial archives. Complex bound volumes can be assessed before work begins so that the most appropriate scanning approach can be agreed.

Digital Outputs
Depending on the project, outputs can include uncompressed 600dpi TIFF for long-term archiving, 300dpi files where appropriate, PDF, searchable OCR, Word and eBook formats. Minimum order charges and complex-volume service charges apply where stated in the pricing section below.

Non-destructive scanning keeps the original book intact. Books are handled carefully throughout the scanning process and returned in the same physical condition.
For one or two books, a £40 minimum order charge applies per book.
For collections of three or more books, the £40 minimum order charge is waived and the actual total page count is used to calculate the scanning cost.
Complex, fragile, tightly bound or unusually shaped books may require an individual assessment and additional technical charges.
Prices exclude VAT at 20%.
