Artwork Digitisation Quality Control

Artwork QA checks image completeness, focus, colour, exposure, geometry, resolution, file integrity and conformity with the agreed specification.

Quality control should include technical checks and visual comparison with the original. Where targets are used, they provide measurable evidence of imaging performance.

Standards context: FADGI identifies objective image performance measures and testing as foundations of a FADGI-conforming programme. citeturn0search0turn0search11

Artwork digitisation quality control

The capture method should be selected around the original object, its condition and the purpose of the digital master. Suitable material may be captured with a WideTEK 36 ART, reprographic camera system or flatbed solution, while delicate, oversized or surface-sensitive work may require a non-contact approach.
