Audio & Video Digitisation

Professional digitisation of audio tapes, video tapes, broadcast media, reel-to-reel recordings, family collections, cine film and other legacy audio-visual formats.

We help families, broadcasters, production companies, businesses, archives, museums and heritage organisations preserve ageing media and make it accessible as high-quality digital files.

Audio and video archive digitisation
One specialist service

From family tapes to professional archive collections

Audio and video media can become difficult to play as equipment, tape formats and recording technologies age. Our role is to identify the original media, select the appropriate playback and capture equipment, digitise it carefully, and supply files suited to viewing, editing, access or preservation.

How it works

A straightforward digitisation process

Tell us what you have

Send us a list, photographs or details of the collection. We can help identify formats and establish the project scope.

We assess the media

We consider format, condition, recording standard, sound configuration and the intended use of the digital files.

Digitisation

The original media is played and captured using appropriate specialist equipment and workflows.

Digital delivery

Files are supplied in the agreed format, with delivery and archive options tailored to the project.

Preservation

Digitisation is more than simply copying a tape

Protecting the original

Older media can be vulnerable to deterioration, playback problems and obsolete equipment. We aim to handle source material carefully and use a suitable transfer route for the format and condition presented.

  • Format and condition assessment
  • Appropriate playback equipment
  • Careful handling of ageing media
  • Project-specific capture and delivery

Making the collection useful
