Plan Scanning & Digitisation

Plans and technical drawings require high-resolution capture of fine lines, dimensions, annotations and symbols.

Architectural and engineering plans can be very large and may contain faded pencil marks, colour codes or fine technical detail. Capture should preserve the entire sheet and its scale context.

Standards context: FADGI includes architectural and engineering line drawings and blueprints within special-purpose still-image categories. citeturn0search5

Plan digitisation

The capture method should be selected around the original object, its condition and the purpose of the digital master. Suitable material may be captured with a WideTEK 36 ART, reprographic camera system or flatbed solution, while delicate, oversized or surface-sensitive work may require a non-contact approach.
