We work extensively with historical and archive companies and museums, production houses and consumer clients with their half-track 2-track audio reel to reels. All tapes are baked prior to conversion, ensuring a once-only-pass for the highest quality conversion.
Outputs to include Waveform Audio File Format (WAV, WAVE, Broadcast BWF) AIFF, MP3 or CD in formats 16-bit 44.1 kHz (CD) upto 24-bit 192 kHz for the recommended quality outputs in line with iASA Industry Standards.
Our studio has several Revox B77 Mark II machines. They have a sturdy aluminium die-casting for the chassis, headblock, pinch roller and mechanism, and each mounting point is painstakingly machined for extraordinary tolerances. The Nextel-coated case around the transport provides a similarly sturdy layer of protection for the mechanism.

Audio DAT Tapes
Digital Audio Tape (DAT or R-DAT) is a signal recording and playback medium developed by Sony and introduced in 1987. Like most formats of videocassette, a DAT cassette may only be recorded and played in one direction, unlike an analog compact audio cassette.
